Poor vision while driving motor vehicle is one of the significant reasons for tragic accidents on Highways.  On this National Road Safety Week (11th to 17th January), MGEHRI conducts an exclusive eye check-up camp for drivers to reduce road crash casualties and mortality.

Recognising Road Traffic Accidents as the leading cause of death, Mahatma Gandhi Eye Hospital & Research Institute in association with R.T.O, Balasore has called for a joint effort to facilitate safe driving on National Highways.

An eye screening camp, specially for drivers, is organized at Shergarh Toll gate, Balasore. Senior Optometrist Sarbeswar Das and Kanaklata Naik have teamed up to check the visual acuity and eye-sight of drivers commuting through the toll gate.
